November rain - Time for cosy thoughts and coats

It's Sunday morning - time for my favorite coffee and cosyness, and time to unleash the secret weapon against the cold – coats!

Let's be real, comfort and warmth are non-negotiable. The key job for a coat is to keep you warm and looking great! Key ingredients will be color, cut, and materials (see my October post on colors)! Today, let's talk about cuts.

Hourglass Harmony:

You have an amazingly balanced figure! Your secret is to keep- and accentuate -that divine symmetry. Opt for a belted trench coat that cinches at the waist, emphasizing your narrowest point. A wrap coat is also an excellent choice, draping gracefully over your silhouette and showing off those fabulous curves.

Avoid too much weight at the collar and any bulky and bolooning styles.

Inverted Triangle Triumph:

Inverted Triangle is the perfect figure for any model! Almost anything drapes beautifully from your shoulders down. The only trick to pay attention to is to balance it all out and not add weight to the top of your figure. A classic pea coat or a tailored jacket with some volume at the hips will creat that balance. Look for A-line silhouettes that flare slightly at the bottom, giving you that perfect equilibrium and an effortlessly chic look. Consider coats with mandarin collar (wear open!), or long slim lapels and pockets on the hips. Avoid detailing around the shoulders.

Triangle Tenacity:

If your shoulders can carry the weight of the world, but measure narrow compared to the hips, get the coat that makes the world see those strong shoulders. Faux fur wide collar will look gorgeous, also belted styles with large lapels or doble boarded coats will add great structure to your upper body. Avoid extra weight around your hips - keep it snug and simple below the waistline.

Rectangle Rendezvous:

You inpersonate sporty and uncluttered figure! Unfortunately, coats can be bulky and make your figure look fuller than necessary if we don't help it with a bit of soft definition. Look for soft fabrics and ways to define waist just enough to avoid that bulkiness. Play with different textures and patterns - think ruffles, faux fur collars, or a coat with a nipped-in waist. You can really want to rock androgynous style in military-style jackets, but avoid them if you look for feminine energy. In that case, look for fit-and-flare coat will add volume to your lower half, creating an hourglass silhouette.

Round Radiance:

For those who embrace their beautiful round figures, we say go big or go home! I will never get tired of saying - do not hide your curves, carry your beauty with pride! So, avoid anything too boxy or bulky. Instead, opt for a statement coat with bold patterns or colors. A mid-length, single-breasted coat will streamline your look while adding a touch of flair. Don't go too long on a coat - you want to show your well-shaped legs!

So, there you have it – the ultimate guide to finding the perfect coat for your figure type. As the rain pours down, let your style shine through, and remember, fashion is not just about keeping warm; it's about radiance and confidence, rain or shine.

Happy styling, and stay cozy! 🌧️🧥✨
